What are My Account login details?

The login details for your My Account is your 14 digit library card barcode number (no spaces). The default PIN is the last the last 6 digits of your library card number (no spaces). Please change your PIN on login. If the default PIN should not work, there is an option available to reset your PIN on the login screen. We will then send you email with a link to create a new PIN for your account. This feature will only work if you have provided the library with a valid email address.

How many items may I borrow? How can I renew items?

You can login to your account to renew your items by using your library barcode and six-digit PIN. By default your PIN will be the last 6 digits of your library card. Ask a member of library staff if you experience any login issues.

Is there a cost to place an item on hold?

Yes, there is a processing fee to request a item / place a hold. This fee applies to holds placed on OPAC, as well as a hold in a library. Please see library tariffs for the processing cost

Can you remind me when my loans are due?

We can email you 3 days before items are due back – contact us to activate this service.

You can login to your account if you are unsure of when something is due back.

What are your overdue charges? Does the library have wifi?

Library members can access the Internet for free at all libraries. You must have your library card with you to use this service.

These free terminals offer a limited service, allowing you to view websites, email and print (for which there is a small charge).

You can only use the Internet for a maximum of 45 minutes per day. You will be automatically logged out 10 minutes before the library closes.

Can I use the Internet for free in the libraries?

Free wifi is available at some libraries, please enquire at your library if it does have wifi.
